IEEE1394 Device Driver and Software Toolkit for Windows
The i1394 SDK provides an easy, affordable and convenient method for obtaining the maximum performance out of your IEEE1394a/b (i.e. FireWire / i.Link™) device. EDA4Alls' own i1394 SDK (tested with many IEEE1394 products) reduces development time and permits software teams to focus on application development rather than kernel mode, low level driver programming and integration, thus effectively allowing for a shorter time to market.
The i1394 SDK provides a full implementation and user mode accessibility of all IEEE1394 bus functions. In addition it provides a C++ object oriented interface library and evaluation application complete with full source code. The reference manual is backed by numerous code examples to allow for faster development. The iBlazeGEN demo application, provided with full source code, illustrates the driver interfacing mechanism including:
- isochronous stream sinking,
- isochronous stream sourcing,
- asynchronous streaming,
- raw asynchronous transfers to and from any node on the bus,
- asynchronous CSR server able to receive asynchronous transfers,
- general OHCI controller functions,
- and much more.
Simple yet effective, the Ci1394 library provides a convenient way of abstracting calls to the kernel mode driver. It is provided with full source code, as an illustration of how this might be achieved.
